A charming country inn, nestling in the picturesque Northumbrian village of Eglingham, the Tankerville Arms offers traditional hospitality. It is popular with locals and tourists alike, and serves mouthwatering British food with an occasional international flourish. The three bedrooms are sumptuously furnished, and feature television with Freesat, tea and coffee facilities and complimentary WiFi access.

The inn’s location, 8 miles NW of Alnwick, is handy for ramblers who can explore the nearby Cheviot Hills, for fisherman who might test their luck on the River Tweed and its many tributaries, and for tourists who

may visit a host of attractions – Alnwick Castle and Gardens, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Chillingham Castle and its famous herd of wild cattle, and the World Heritage Site of Hadrian’s Wall.

Bedrooms

You can choose from three bedrooms:

The Gold Room
Comfortable and spacious, with a super-king size bed, antiques and ornate mirrors, and plush traditional fabrics. The room has it’s own bathroom en-suite, and is equipped with television and Freesat, tea and coffee facilities. Including Full English Breakfast and VAT, it costs £105 a night.

The French Room
Decorated in Provençale style,with hand-painted furniture, and a king-size bed. A true ‘coup d’oeil’, the room is equipped with television and Freesat, tea and coffee facilities and has it’s own private bathroom just across the corridor. Again, including Full English Breakfast and VAT, the room is £85 a night for two guests and £50 as a single.

The Suite
An expansive room for a special occasion. Eye-catching and stylish, the Suite has been designed with panache, harmonising lighting and furniture to create a calm and balanced feeling. Featuring a super-king size bed, luxurious lounge area, television, DVD and Freesat, walk-in shower en-suite, the room has been created to mirror a self-contained apartment. Including Full English Breakfast and VAT, the suite costs £125 a night.
